These Terms govern your use of Librona ("the Service") at librona.app. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Librona.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Librona. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.
You agree not to:
Your library, reviews, notes, and suggestions are yours. By posting them, you grant Librona a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service. You can delete your content at any time. You're responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.
Librona includes a shared catalog of book information. Members can submit suggested corrections, which administrators review before they're applied. We may edit, accept, or decline suggestions, and remove content that violates these Terms.
Book details and cover images are retrieved from third-party sources, including Open Library and Google Books. That content belongs to its respective owners and is subject to their terms. Librona is not affiliated with these providers. If you believe content infringes your copyright, contact hello@librona.app and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.
We aim to keep Librona running but may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We're not liable for any downtime or data loss; please keep your own backups (you can export your library from the app).
Reviews, ratings, suggestions, and other content are created by users, and book information and covers come from third parties. We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for user-generated content or third-party data, and we are not responsible for how other users behave. You rely on any such content at your own risk.
Librona is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of book data, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. You use the Service at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Librona and the people who operate it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because Librona is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us — which is zero.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Librona and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) content you post or share; (b) your use of the Service; or (c) your violation of these Terms, any law, or any third-party right. In short: you are responsible for your own actions and content, not us.
We respect intellectual property. Book covers and details are retrieved from third-party sources and belong to their respective owners. If you believe content shown in Librona infringes your copyright, email hello@librona.app with: a description of the work, where it appears in Librona, and your contact details. We will review promptly and remove infringing material where appropriate.
You can stop using Librona and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.
We may update these Terms. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator of Librona is based. Before taking any formal action, please contact us at hello@librona.app so we can try to resolve any concern informally — most issues can be sorted out with a quick message.
